The Warriors Journey Foundation is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors who share a common mission: to bring hope, support, and awareness to individuals and families affected by colorectal cancer.

Our board members volunteer their time, talents, and expertise to ensure the foundation remains focused on its mission, operates with integrity, and creates a lasting impact within our community. Together, we are committed to honor every warrior’s journey while building a future filled with hope.

Sarah monzon

Sarah founded The Warriors Journey Foundation in honor of her father, Adolfo O’Con, whose courageous battles with stage IV colorectal cancer inspired the organizations mission.

With more than 14 years of experience in education and leadership, Sarah is passionate about serving others, building meaningful community partnerships, and creating opportunities that make a lasting difference. She leads the foundation’s strategic vision, fundraising efforts, community outreach, scholarship programs, and organizational development while ensuring every initiative reflects the compassion and resilience that inspired its creation. 

Founder & President

Nicholas O’con

Nicholas proudly serves as the Secretary of The Warriors Journey Foundation, helping maintain the organizations records, meeting documentation, and governance while supporting the foundation’s long-term mission.

As Adolfo’s son, Nicholas witnessed firsthand the challenges families face during a colorectal cancer journey. Inspired by his father’s courage and legacy, he is committed to helping ensure other families receive the support, hope and encouragements they deserve.

Nicholas also serves in the healthcare field, bringing valuable medical knowledge, compassion, and a heart for serving others to the foundation.

Lydia o’con

Lydia serves as the Treasurer of The Warriors Journey Foundation, providing financial oversight and ensuring that every donation is managed responsibly and transparently.

As Adolfo’s wife, Lydia stood faithfully beside him throughout his cancer journey. Her personal experience fuels her passion for supporting other families facing similar challenges.

With a career in healthcare, Lydia brings both professional expertise and deep compassion to the foundation. She is dedicated to honoring Adolfo’s legacy by helping ensure the organization remains a trusted resource for the community. 

Parliamentarian

steve o’con

As Adolfo’s younger brother and only sibling, Steve proudly serves as the Foundation’s Parliamentarian.

He provides guidance on board governance and parliamentary procedure, helping ensure meetings are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with the foundation’s bylaws.

His lifelong bond with Adolfo and his commitment to preserving his brother’s legacy continue to inspire his service. Through his leadership, he helps ensure that every decision made by the Board reflects the mission, values, and vision of The Warriors Journey Foundation.
